Bonnie is a licensed Zumba instructor and certified Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Group Fitness Instructor, who specializes in Zumba and Aqua Zumba.

What is Zumba…?

Zumba is dance fitness! Each class is a party with a contagious blend of Latin and international rhythms that provides a fun and effective workout to a global community. It’s great for beginners because it isn’t overly complicated. There’s a formula that makes each song easy to follow, with moves repeating for each part of the song. You don’t need any prior dance experience. Zumba classes consist mostly of Latin music including but definitely not limited to Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia and Reggaeton. Classes are always fun, energetic, supportive and full of laughter and expression. Shoes meant for lateral movements are helpful but nothing is necessary, just you!

AQUA ZUMBA is a low-impact water exercise course designed to improve muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular fitness. Non-swimming exercises will involve Latin-based dance steps and variations using Aqua Zumba dance vocabulary and music.

All the same principles of Zumba apply to Aqua Zumba, you’re just in the water, chest-level. It’s a blast to teach and I love my students so much, they are welcoming and full of smiles!
